With over 20 years in Excavation and Grading we have worked on projects for as long as a week, and others over a year. We have multiple talented crews working simultaneously from Thousand Oaks to Los Angeles to Malibu, there is nothing too big or too small for us!

So Cal Dirt Engineering, Inc. is owned and operated by Scott Phillips. While still a teenager, Scott began working in this industry, in the field and at the very bottom, with no experience in construction or handling heavy equipment. His experience was honed year after year working for large developers and contractors in the Malibu and Los Angeles areas. Today, Scott brings 22 years of actual hands-on experience and project management in excavation and grading to So Cal Dirt Engineering, Inc., something that cannot be said by every Civil Subcontractor out there.

Like everything in life, there are typical guidelines and concepts that apply to everything we do. Excavation and grading projects are no different using basic mathematical formulas and calculations, but what we bring to the table, is anything but basic. With just a site walk, we have the unique ability to see deeper into a project and develop a plan to complete the work in the most cost-effective way possible. Our experience means that we also understand the scopes of work following ours and our scope of work always includes leaving an accessible and clean worksite for the next Subcontractor.
